Specific Need

ECHO's has a growing need to increase our capacity to support the rise in demand for services for adults with disabilities in our community.  In 2019 we expect to increase the number of individuals receiving services from us to 230 from 200.  Coupled with the increase in service levels we are working deligently to optimize our programs including Individual & Group Employment Support, Transportation, the ECHO Training Academy and, our Day Support and Medical Programs.

ECHO'S mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their optimal level of personal, social and economic success.

In 1975, ECHO started as a dream for families to have a safe and supportive environment for their loved ones with disabilities to spend their time during the day.  Forty-four years later, today ECHO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that offers lifelong support and high quality and cutting edge services for adults with disabilities. We build confidence in those we serve and assure each individual has the needed support to reach their maximum potential.

Together with the commitment of our community supporters like you, in 2019 we will;

·       increase our capacity to provide services to individuals in need by enrolling 30 additional participants into our programs bringing the total served to 230 annually

·       launch our cutting edge ECHO Training Academy, which provides structured, hands on and practical experiences to enhance participants’ sense of purpose, inclusion, and employability

·       construct our Multi-Sensory room, providing place where individuals develop and engage their senses in a safe environment

·       optimize our transportation services which includes equipping our fleet of 38 buses and vans with GPS systems and other technologies to better navigate our routes, enhance security and enrich available transportation services for the individuals we transport to and from their homes, ECHO and places of work.

ECHO provides an innovative continuum of services to meet varying levels of needs for the individuals we serve.   Our programs provide skill building, job placement, day support and transportation. We annually provide services to over 200 adults with disabilities in a range of programs, including Day Support, Medical Program, Group and Individual Supported Employment.

“ECHO and its incredible host companies have meant so much to our daughter and our family for the 16 years she has enjoyed working there. She feels productive and happy daily and we feel very secure knowing that she is not only happy, but safe, from the time the ECHO van picks her up in the morning until she is being dropped off in the evening. We know that our lovely daughter is with ECHO’s caring professional staff. We are very thankful that she can be part of the ECHO family.”
