INMED Partnerships for Children has been empowering low-income communities in Loudoun since 1994. Its Family & Youth Opportunity Center provides a continuum of care and support from the prenatal period through adulthood via home visiting services to promote child development and parenting skills, family education and financial literacy, after-school academic enrichment, STEAM-focused summer camps, workforce skills development and job fairs.

We help ensure that families are stable and self-sufficient; that parents are equipped with the skills, knowledge, resources to give their children the healthiest possible start in life; and that all youth, regardless of economic status, are prepared to compete in the 21st Century workforce.

INMED's Family & Youth Opportunity Center is a unique family resource center in Loudoun County, delivering direct support services and capacity-building resources to strengthen the stability and self-sufficiency of at-risk families, while creating opportunities for children and youth to succeed, despite the challenges of their environment. Program services include:

  • After-school academic enrichment STEM-related activities for at-risk elementary school students;
  • Healthy Families Loudoun home visitation program to prevent child abuse and neglect as well as strengthen family units;
  • Spanish-language parent education and support groups that are open to the community, addressing topics such as housing, financial literacy, parenting, children's health, acculturation and family violence prevention;
  • Workforce development resources involving entrepreneurial workshops and bi-annual job fairs to develop opportunities for unemployed and under-employed individuals within the local community, along with
  • STEAM-related summer day camps for low-income children, to maintain their focus, recreational activity and school readiness during the non-school months.
