Here is how your donations help us:

• $25 helps support one of our Step Up Loudoun Youth Competition teams with their project
• $50 helps provide 8 shirts for our Loudoun Youth Leadership Program participants
• $125 helps provide key materials needed for our Claude Moore Community Builders professional development trainings
• $250 helps offset the costs of bringing in guest speakers to our educate and motivate the youth in our programs
• $400 provides a lunch for all participants during our Loudoun Youth Leadership Program
• $500 helps fund our need-based scholarships for deserving students to participate in our Loudoun Youth Leadership Program
• $1000 helps fund the prize money given to the top Step Up Loudoun Youth Competition teams who are doing great deeds in our communities

Mission

Loudoun Youth, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to coordinate community resources to assist in the development of youth programs and to create leadership opportunities for young people. We support and develop programs that provide Loudoun teens positive out-of-school activities in safe, nurturing environments and help teens become confident and contributing members of the community.

Profile

Loudoun Youth Inc (LYI) believes that investing in youth is the best way to ensure our community will have a successful future. Through our varied programs, designed to appeal to a wide variety of teens with differing interests and backgrounds, we enable them to discover their individual talents; overcome perceived weaknesses; gain confidence in their leadership skills; develop friendships with peers also striving to achieve their fullest potential; gain insight into challenges and opportunities faced by our county; and realize the impact they can have on their own community.

The best part of being involved with LYI is not only knowing that that we are training teens to tackle community problems sometime in their future, but that through our programs, we are able to watch them step up and take action to improve the health, safety and well-being of our county's residents right now, while they are still teens.

We work to inspire teens but are continually inspired by them, as well.
