The Dulles South Food Pantry was founded in 2014 to address food insecurity in southeastern Loudoun County.  Our main focus is on the following areas:

  • Food distribution - DSFP operates a weekly food distribution program, allowing guests to visit the Pantry up to two times per month by appointment. The offerings include milk, eggs, meat, fresh produce, bread, sweets, and non-perishable food items. Utilizing a choice form, the organization tailors food bags to accommodate guests' dietary needs and preferences. We are currently serving approximately 250 families a week.
  • Backpack Buddies - We collaborate with family liaisons at 21 Loudoun County Schools supporting students in need through the Backpack Buddies Program where we provides 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, 2 shelf stable drinks and snacks to children who may not have enough to eat on the weekends. We provide over 200 bags per week.
  • Self-Sufficiency - This program plays a pivotal role in connecting guests with essential resources such as health care, clothing, employment resources, education including ESL, financial assistance, affordable housing, government aid programs and more. This comprehensive support system is designed to guide individuals on their journeys toward self-sufficiency and strives to alleviate food insecurity by addressing the root causes, providing awareness of community support and eliminating barriers to resource access.
  • Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers: DSFP extends its reach by providing food twice a month to homebound clients of Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers. These clients include elderly, disabled, and critically ill individuals, some with small children.
