Specific Need

Your donation will help defray the costs of bus transportation for more than 75 skaters representing Capital Theatre on Ice at the National Theatre on Ice Competition in Evansville, Indiana, in June. Our goal is $10,000.

Mission

Capital Theatre On Ice (CTOI), formerly Ashburn Theatre On Ice, is the first and only theatrical ice team representing the Washington Figure Skating Club at the national level. CTOI skaters of all ages work as a team in what can often be a very isolating and lonely sport. Our collaborative process gives skaters from beginners through senior levels input in creating and executing our programs. We perform in Loudoun County and throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area, and we compete nationally and internationally. Theatre on Ice incorporates the most exciting aspects of skating along with acting: the jumps and spins of freestyle, the footwork and glide of skating skills, the throws and lifts of pairs skating, the musicality and flow of ice dancing, the precision of school figures, the speed and elements of synchronized skating, and the production values and costuming of professional show skating.
