Goal: $5,000.00
Specific Need
New Employment Opportunities for Adults with Disabilities
At ECHO, providing meaningful work and an opportunity for our partiicpants to earn a paycheck is one of our top priorities. As the need for our services continues to grow (27% year over year growth), securing enough work for our participants has become increasingly difficult. One of our solutions to this challenge is to create our own opportunities. We are in the process of starting ECHO Coffee Roasters, a small business that will employ our participants to roast small batches of premium coffee which we will sell to both wholesale and retail customers.
How You Can Help
Our goal today is to raise $5,000 to support the startup costs associated with ECHO Coffee Roasters. Funds raised at Give Choose will be used for packaging materials, storage solutions, necessary ventilation, initial green coffee inventory, and other necessary expenses. Your generosity will enable us to do more for the people that we support, thank you for taking part in Give Choose and considering ECHO.
Mission
ECHO's mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their optimal level of personal, social and economic success.
Profile
What We Do
ECHO was established in 1975 as a non-profit with the purpose of providing lifelong support to individuals with disabilities. We currently serve over 200 participants in our programs, which include skill building, job placement, day support, and transportation. Through these services, we are empowering our participants along their journeys toward independence and personal growth.
For 50 years, ECHO has provided a supportive environment for individuals with disabilities to discover their talents, nurture their abilities, and to gain new and valuable life skills.
Your Support
Your donation will enable us to create approximately 5 jobs for adults with disabilities while also giving us the ability to produce an artisan, in demand product. ECHO Coffee Roasters is a scalable business that we believe will be a part of who we are for many years to come.
