First responders in Loudoun County face extraordinary risks every day. While they dedicate their lives to protecting our community, unexpected injuries, illnesses, and tragedies can create sudden financial and emotional hardship for them and their families.

Many first responders hesitate to ask for help, and support is often needed quickly when a crisis strikes. The Loudoun First Responders Foundation exists to ensure they are never facing those moments alone.

Profile

When Loudoun County residents dial 911, first responders immediately answer the call to protect and serve our community. But when first responders face their own emergencies, the Loudoun First Responders Foundation answers their call.

Since 2005, the Loudoun First Responders Foundation has provided critical financial and emotional support to Loudoun's career and volunteer law enforcement, fire, and rescue professionals and their families.

Thanks to the generosity of community donors and partners, the Foundation has:

Granted more than $1 million in emergency assistance to first responders facing injury, illness, and unexpected hardship
Awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships to children of Loudoun's public safety community
Provided more than $1.3 million in total support to Loudoun's first responder families

Donor support enables the Foundation to step in during some of life's most difficult moments. Assistance has helped families manage unexpected medical expenses after serious injuries, provided financial relief during times of tragedy and loss, and supported educational opportunities that help first responder families build strong futures.

The Loudoun First Responder Foundation operates entirely through volunteer leadership and community support. Every dollar raised helps ensure first responders and their families receive assistance quickly, compassionately, and without unnecessary barriers.
