Specific Need
Help Loudoun County's leading bilingual, nature based preschool grow and impact the lives of hundreds of more children and families! Our rain or shine outdoor learning environment needs to be accessible to as many children as possible. We are currently at $1,695 of our $122,880 Fundraising Goal, focused on equitable compensation for sustainability education and your generous donation can push us closer to our goal!!!! Donations will assist in updating a nearby parcel of land, which will be destined as a wildlife habitat and environmental education/arts center, feeding our growing population of rescue animals and raising teacher pay!
Your generosity will also increase accessibility by funding a minimum of 5 scholarships a year for lower and middle income families, as well as assist in raising our teacher's salaries and caring for our growing population of rescue animals!
Mission
Llittle Tree Huggers (LTH) Earth Center breaks down social and cultural barriers to understanding and sustainability through stimulating outdoor bilingual learning experiences, celebrating other cultures, exploring the wonders of nature as well as teaching tolerance, solidarity, and empathy for one another and the environment throughout their lives.
LTH’s vision is to inspire children, their families and even local businesses to connect with nature, care for the environment and celebrate the diversity of our multicultural world.
Profile
LTH Earth Center is a bilingual nonprofit, nondenominational environmental educational initiative in Leesburg, Virginia dedicated to breaking down barriers to sustainability in all areas of society.
LTH Earth Center is the evolution of LTH LLC, a home-based Preschool, licensed to operate with a maximum of 12 children since 2015. Due to an overwhelming response to our curriculum and award winning environmental commitments like solar and geothermal, we were urged by the local community to embark on the process of expanding LTH into an environmental educational center able to impact the lives of hundreds of more children and families. With LTH LLC nearing full capacity, LTH Earth Center was incorporated in 2020 as the charitable arm of LTH LLC, with the purpose of purchasing sufficient acreage to meet the necessary zoning and licensing requirements for our nature preserve and Earth Center, which we hope will serve preschool through elementary school.
2023 saw LTH Earth Center not only win Loudoun County's first Sustainable Small Business Award, we also won the US Department of Education's Green Ribbon Schools Award!
