Mission

Boulder Crest Foundation’s mission is to facilitate Posttraumatic Growth through transformative programs, world-class training and education initiatives, and research and advocacy efforts. We envision a world where all veterans, first responders, and their families have the training, skills, and support they need to transform their struggle into lifelong Posttraumatic Growth.

Profile

Boulder Crest Foundation is the home of Posttraumatic Growth (PTG) and a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on ensuring the military, veteran, and first responder communities can live great lives in the aftermath of trauma.

The need is great. Traditional approaches to mental health are not working for these communities and a new and innovative approach is desperately required. In fact, an estimated 20 veterans die by suicide every day, and annually, more first responders die by suicide than in the line of duty.

Our mission is to facilitate Posttraumatic Growth (PTG) through transformative programs, world-class training and education initiatives, research, and advocacy through our innovative Warrior PATHH (Progressive and Alternative Therapies for Helping Heroes) and Struggle Well programs. Locally, Boulder Crest operates out of it's retreat site in Bluemont, Virginia, and nationally through three additional ranches in Arizona, Texas, and Wyoming, six partner sites across the country, mobile training teams, and the nationwide Struggle Well training program for first responders. Services are offered at no charge to attendees due to the generosity of our donors.

Boulder Crest's Impact

On average, studies show that participants attending a Posttraumatic Growth training program experience over 50% reduction in pts and anxiety symptoms, sustained. We need your help to support our nation's heroes and to provide the training needed to transform struggle into strength and live the great lives they deserve in the aftermath of trauma.
