Legacy Farms offers garden-based vocational training and jobs to neurodivergent individuals with disabilities 16+ who are transitioning beyond the educational system and having difficulty finding or maintaining employment. Our staff and mentors guide apprentices on learning garden, entrepreneurial, and communications skills, with an additional focus on personal development so that they perform more successfully in future jobs and/or advanced education. Our neurodiverse staff and apprentices work side-by-side as equals to deliver over 3,000 assembled floral bouquets and other products to market.
Your donation to Legacy Farms supports training and jobs for apprentices learning real-world skills in gardening, media design, sales management or non-profit organizational development.
This year, we're kicking off our 2026 Annual Fund Campaign with Loudoun's largest day of giving, #GiveChoose 2026. Our 2026 growing season is under way, and our apprentices and Junior Staff are busy at work planting and getting our garden ready for the season. Your donation today will support:
- 50 neurodivergent individuals across all programs in our vocational garden and entrepreneurial apprenticeship program
- Allow us to provide over 7,500 of mentored hours to neurodivergent young adults learning gardening and entrepreneurial skills.
- Allow us to bring over 50,0000 of locally-grown, specialty cut floral stems in beautfiful floral arrangements to the Loudoun community.
Mission
Legacy Farms offers garden-based vocational training and jobs to neurodivergent individuals with disabilities 16+ who are transitioning beyond the educational system and having difficulty finding or maintaining employment.
Our program, based at Temple Hall Farm, includes a suite of educational and paid vocational training programs in a garden-based, entrepreneurial focused work environment. We mentor more than just garden skills; we also teach product development, delivery, customer support, and related sales/marketing, while supporting our apprentices in building self-awareness.
