Middleburg Humane Foundation

Goal: $40,000.00

Specific Need

Middleburg Humane Foundation provides each adoptable animal with about $500 in veterinary care and shelter services before they go home.

Running a shelter and veterinary clinic means ongoing costs for medical supplies, equipment, and the staff who care for our animals every day. This helps animals get healthy and adopted faster.

That’s why our goal is to raise $40,000.

We always need food, vaccines, antibiotics, and medical treatments, and some animals require costly tests or surgery. Even food adds up quickly — at just $3 per day, it costs about $90 a month to feed one animal, and thousands each month to feed all the animals in our care.

Your donation helps cover these lifesaving costs and gives animals a second chance.

Mission

Middleburg Humane Foundation is a certified private, not for profit animal rescue that does not euthanize for space.  We rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals of all sizes, from Guinea pigs to horses.  MHF is a 501 (c) 3  receiving no support from the government, and we rely on fundraising, donors and community support. In addition, we have a program called TNR (Trap Neuter and Return) for cats living in our local community to reduce the population of feral cats.  We ultimately promote animal welfare through community outreach and humane education.

Profile

Middleburg Humane Foundation (MHF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need while supporting families in keeping their pets healthy and in loving homes. Our programs include animal intake and adoption services, in-house veterinary care, spay/neuter, foster care, enrichment, behavior support, humane education, and volunteer engagement. We partner with shelters and rescues throughout Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, West Virginia, South Carolina, and Georgia to transfer animals at risk of euthanasia due to overcrowding or lack of medical care. We provide comprehensive medical treatment, rehabilitation, and adoption support to ensure more pets are successfully placed into forever homes.
