Community Safe Haven

Specific Need

Community Safe Haven 501(c)(3) is seeking funding to support therapeutic programming, participant scholarships, and future staff growth as our community continues to expand.

Donations directly fund essential services such as music therapy ($100 per session), yoga ($75 per session), art therapy ($15 per participant), and community outings ($100–$200 per outing)—all of which help our participants build emotional regulation, independence, and meaningful social connections.

Contributions also help provide tuition assistance, keeping our program accessible at $50 per day for individuals and families who need support. While we say $50 per day, majority of our participants don't pay any tuition at all.

In addition, we are setting aside funds to hire and train future employees, ensuring we can maintain small group ratios, individualized care, and a safe, consistent environment as enrollment grows.

Mission

Community Safe Haven 501(c)(3) is dedicated to improving quality of life for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by delivering evidence-informed therapeutic services, life-skills training, and inclusive community-based programming. Through structured supports, individualized care, and meaningful engagement, we promote independence, emotional well-being, and long-term community inclusion for the individuals we serve.

Profile

Community Safe Haven is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit day support program serving adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We provide a structured, supportive, and engaging environment where participants can build life skills, social connections, and independence while feeling safe, valued, and included. Our program operates Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM and serves 6–8 participants daily with 3 dedicated staff, allowing for individualized attention and meaningful support.

The daily program charge is $50 per day, though the majority of our participants attend on full scholarships funded by generous donors, ensuring access regardless of financial barriers. Our weekly offerings include music therapy, art therapy, and yoga, along with life skills training, emotional regulation support, community outings, vocational exploration, and creative enrichment activities. Through strong staff support, donor partnerships, and a heart-centered approach, Community Safe Haven creates a true place of belonging where participants can grow, thrive, and feel empowered.
